Dear [client name],

I hope this email finds you well.
I know that there is nothing more important to you than spending quality time with your children, so I thought that the market leading Child Illness Protector would really interest you. It comes free with a Liberty Absolute Income Protector benefit, and provides you with monthly payments should your child fall terminally ill.
Safeguard your time together, when time really counts.
What if your child was diagnosed with a terminal illness, an illness which the doctors believe reduces their life expectancy to less than one year? You would want to give your child your full attention and focus all your efforts on caring for them and making them as comfortable as possible. Your job would become an unimportant aspect of your life and you may even consider giving it up to spend time with them. However, at the same time, would you be able to give up your income, especially at a time when medical and other expenses may be piling up?

Child Illness Protector, gives you that ability by providing you with monthly payments if your child is diagnosed with such an illness. This unique benefit pays your Absolute Income Protector claim amount up to R30 000 per month, for up to one year.
  • Children who are born after the start of your benefit will automatically be covered.

  • The benefit also covers stepchildren and legally adopted children.
How it works
The Child Illness Protector benefit will automatically be added, free of charge, to your Absolute Income Protector benefit. To qualify for a claim, your child must be diagnosed with a terminal illness which causes their life expectancy to be less than one year according to medical specialists. They must be 18 years old or younger at the time that the diagnosis is made. We know that there are a wide range of possible illnesses that meet this definition so we cover them all - as long as they are not related to a condition which your child had been diagnosed with before your benefit started. We understand that your immediate focus is on your child and therefore we don't apply any waiting periods to this benefit.

Consider this…
The Child Illness Protector does not require you to stop working to qualify for a claim. Your claim will still be paid whether you carry on working or not. For example, you may choose to employ a caregiver while you keep working and pay for the caregiver with your claim payments.
