Once again, none of us can believe that it's already THAT TIME OF THE YEAR again. Shops have dusted off their decorations, trips away have been booked, school exams are almost over and Metro police are out in full force. Liberty Corporate is certainly ending the year on a high. Let's take a moment to reflect back on some of the services we have introduced to enhance the value you enjoy from being one of our clients. One of our key strategic focuses during 2010 has been to offer you holistic health, wealth and wellness solutions that cover all facets of your life instead of only retirement and risk services. Our recently introduced Value Added Services include: Medical Advice when you need it the most Ambulance Service and 24 hour Alarm Centre Doctors Professional telephonic Trauma Counselling Legal Assistance Helpline These services are available to each and every member of our funds free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whatever you have planned, wherever you go, rest assured Liberty Corporate will be there to assist you, should the need arise. Liber8: a new frontier in fund administration Another great success of 2010 has been the introduction of a new system called Liber8. Many of you will be familiar with Liber8 by now but for those of you that are yet to be introduced to its benefits, here's a breakdown of what it does: Liber8 is a system that sits in the employer's office, providing direct access to payroll data. This system allows employers to upload member data directly to Liberty, reducing errors caused by manual intervention. Liber8 also holds other benefits to the employer such as the ability to draw reports, initiate claims, upload new members, manage salary updates and much more... We are very excited about the benefits of Liber8 and believe that its world class capability will greatly ease the administrative load on everyone concerned. New and improved Member Benefit Statements are coming your way Early next year Liberty Corporate will be introducing a new, more user friendly Member Benefit Statement. We have partnered with a company by the name of Info Slips who have assisted us in designing one of the first fully dynamic, electronic benefits statements in the industry. More about your Member Benefit Statement It's safe and secure They're easy to read and understand Additional information regarding investment and product options is available through the links provided What's more: using less paper means we're making a real contribution to the environment and saving our planet! You will be hearing much more about how to access your statements and the benefits of "going electronic" in the New Year. Taking Liberty Corporate to new heights As the cherry on top of what has been a terrific year, we are excited to announce that as of 1 December 2010, Seelan Gobalsamy has taken up the position of Chief Executive for Liberty Corporate. Seelan joins the business from Old Mutual, where he has most recently held the position of Managing Director for Old Mutual Corporate. Over the past 10 years, Seelan has fulfilled numerous roles in Old Mutual, including Finance, Administration, and Corporate Distribution. Under his leadership, Old Mutual Corporate has gone from strength to strength and he was responsible for leading the team in refining their strategy, overseeing strong market share growth and establishing Old Mutual Corporate as a leader in the market place. Here's what Bruce Hemphill, Liberty Group Chief Executive, has to say: "We are delighted to have someone of Seelan's experience join the Liberty Corporate Executive Team. While Liberty Corporate has for many years been a strong player in the SME business, it has also become clear to the Liberty Corporate Executive Team that there is a great deal of opportunity to grow the business, both locally and in Africa. The executive team has strategic ambitions to take the business to a new level and become a significant player in additional new markets, enabling the business to grow to the foremost employee benefits business on the continent.
